Greetings from the East:

We have another busy month ahead of us. Our regular meeting will be on Tuesday, May 8th with a potluck at 6:30 and our business meeting at 7:30. The following week will keep us occupied as we start with a Mother's Day Breakfast on May 11th. We expand our regular menu to include French Toast. This is a nice treat for the mothers in your life. Won't you bring them in to celebrate the day?

On Wednesday, May 14th we have a Red Cross Blood drive from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. We do need your help to keep our blood supplies up. Even if you are not able to donate, you can help by reminding others of the drive. Please see that a notice of the date and time is placed in your church bulletin.

On Saturday, May 17th we will be celebrating our Chapter's birthday. We will have a catered dinner at 6:30. The dinner cost is $15.00. After dinner we will have a presentation on antique glass slides. These slides are beautiful and the program is very well done. This is an open meeting and we welcome you to come and enjoy the beauty of this unique art work.

We will be serving breakfast again on Sunday, May 25th. If you are not going away for the weekend, please join us. I know we will be a little short on dining room help, so please try to make some time for helping out.

The Euchre party (Wow! Have we been getting a great response!) will be on Friday, May 30th so that we don't have a conflict with the Memorial Day Weekend. We start play @ 7:00 with the doors open for registration at 6:30. We have a lively group of players and a great evening of food and fun. Where else can you have a great evening out for $13.00 each and still have the possibility of coming home with more in your pockets that you left with? Come out and join us - meet the "players".

Those of you who were not able to come out on April 15th missed a great potluck and evening of fellowship. Through our 50/50 drawing we were able to collect $70.00 for the Relay for Life. The Roseville Relay for Life is the same week-end as the one here in the Romeo area. Roseville is sponsoring a team for their Relay and asked that we turn over this donation to our Relay. In addition to the great food, fellowship and opportunity to provide funds for cancer research, we were entertained by a world class whistler and her great-grandson. They provided us with many different styles of music. Ronnie and Jonathan were warmly received and enjoyed entertaining us.

Come out and join us as often as your schedule and your health allow.

With fraternal love,
Pat Bruen , Worthy Matron
