Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Didn’t our snow day come at the wrong time! We had to cancel our game night to keep our friends and members safe. The weather wasn’t quite as bad as was expected, but travel after dark was still not safe. We will try again in March – on the 2nd Tuesday again. So - - - get out your favorite board games and or cards and come out to join us. We will have a potluck dinner @ 6:30, honor our appointed officers and guests and then spend an hour or so playing our favorite games.
We are very happy to see that Jim Eubanks’ surgery was successful and that he is on the road to full recovery. He came out to join us for breakfast on Valentine’s Day and is in excellent spirits. He says he still gets tired easily and that he enjoys it when people give him a call or drop him a card to let him know we care.
My last report from Janine Saputo is that our area prepared and sent out over 500 boxes to service personnel serving overseas. The Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Authority and the MRP Association worked together on this project using the Romeo Masonic Temple as the Welcome Center and one of the two areas where the boxes were accepted and/or packed. It was a very busy weekend and a true pleasure to see the support of the community.
In addition to our business meeting on March 2nd and our special on March 9th, please keep in mind the Red Cross Blood Drive on March 10th, our regular breakfasts and the Euchre Party on March 26th.
Take care of each other and join us for our events as often as you can.
Fraternally,
Pat Bruen, Worthy Matron
